Default Regarding Alias

Hi everyone, first of all I would just like to strongly apologise for this being my first ever post and also a massive thank you to the Administrator for letting me sign up.

I have a few questions regarding Outlook Alias. On my Outlook account I have added an Alias and made it my primary Alias and have removed the other Alias which used to be my primary Alias. I then decided I wanted to make another outlook account with the deleted Alias from my other Outlook account but I get "This address has already been taken"

I have tried to research on Google and I have read that when an Alias is deleted, it becomes a secondary Alias (although I do not see it in my list as I have removed it) and I should be able to use it on my new Outlook account, a completely different one to where the deleted Alias was tied, within 30 days, is this correct?

Also, if I decide to completely close my Outlook account from where I deleted the Alias, will this affect the 30 day period in any way? I have read it takes a whole year for an Alias to become available, but is that just because it is the primary Alias, the one and only Alias tied to the account that takes a year to become available and 30 days for a secondary Alias (which apparently automatically becomes a secondary once I removed it)

So just to conclude, I have deleted an Alias from one Outlook account and I want to use that Alias on a brand new account, and if I completely close down the Outlook account from where I deleted the Alias will I not be able to ever use the Alias I deleted or can I completely close the Outlook account with the deleted Alias and still be able to use it within 30 days, or a whole year?

Sorry to go on so much and I am sorry for any confusion, I cannot thank anyone enough who can help me out with this, any replies and I will be highly appreciative and greatful.

Many Thanks And Kind Regards
