Outlook 2010 reminder appears few hours after the actual timing

Hi,

I am using Outlook 2010 and whenever i set an email reminder for a meeting appointment, the reminder don't appear before the actual event timing. It will always appear a few hours after the actual event time.

Is there any settings that i'm not doing correctly?
