Default Problem with Outlook 2010

I have Office Pro 2010 in XP OS system.
I bought the upgrade on line from a vendor in California. This is an Upgrade from 2002 version. I came to know later from Microsoft that this company bought multiple seats of the program and they sold the seats individually. The company is no longer in business. Thus I cannot remove the software and re-install it
I am having problem with my Outlook. It does not remind me of the appointments It opens up the address window for my out going mail however it will not find the name. Rather will not accept any typing in the search window.
It sometimes opens up multiple window of different program or recycle bin. Only thing I can do is to turn the computer off and re-boot. I am repairing Office every other day to keep me going.
Is there a Office Professional version that can be installed under XP environment. If I change my OS to say windows 7 - I have to fork out $3,000 + to replace several technical software. And I am trying hard not to do that.

I do not have any problem with other software in the Package.
Any suggestion will be appreciated.
