Hi ALL,
I found my own answer!! I seems that Gmail really doesn't use "folders" and in reality they are just labels applied to an e-mail. So an e-mail can have more than one label and if it is deleted using one of its labels it gets deleted from all of its labels. Thus if you want to keep Important empty and delete something from there if that email had another label it will get deleted from that other label also. The solution is to go into the Gmail settings and under Labels hide the labels you don't want to see AND if you're using anything other than the Gmail web mail site (like using OUTLOOK) you also MUST un-check "Show on IMAP." That last part will prevent it from showing up in Outlook! Cheers! Gerry |
