Double Personal Folders in Outlook 2007

Hello. I found several mentions of this problem whenI googled it but didi not find cause or solution. I'd like to delete one entire set but am wary that U have only one set and two views. Does anyone know how I can resolve this safely? I suppose I could back up and then delete one and restore if I caused any damage. Thanks inadvance.
