Despite knowing, through experience, that letting outlook 2007 touch icloud is like the third rail of computing, in this case, I thought I had little choice.
I just did a clean install of Outlook 2007 because I just installed Windows 10. However, I did carry over the outlook.pst file and installed it after scanning and removing any errors. I felt that, as there are contacts on my iphone that don't appear on my Outlook contact list, I was going to have to download them, using the most recent version of the icloud control panel. Which is how I got the following folders: Under my contacts: [a bar in the folder window] contacts iphone Under icloud:[a bar] contacts in icloud local contacts in icloud iphone in icloud iphone [from contacts from icloud] in icloud. How many of these folders can be safely deleted as redundant? I'll restrict this thread to this question, elsewhere I will ask about managing the iphone contacts using outlook 2007 [if that's even possible!] |
