I was trying to do this only within the Advanced criteria. Another part that I did not explain in my original post is that I wanted only the mail from the Inbox.

The solution is...

On the Messages tab enter the domain (@xyz.com) into the From field.
On the Advanced tab configure the added criteria "In folder contains Inbox"

Through this effort I have learned that you can combine criteria defined on one tab with criteria from another to form your complete criteria rule.
