Outlook.pst can't be opened by Outlook

I can no longer get my email from Outlook on my laptop. When I click the Outlook icon, I get a screen that indicates that Outlook.pst cannot be opened.

I don't recall there being any updates of note since I was last able to access my email. New driver for NVIDIA is all I can recall.

I ran scanpst a couple of times but it did not help. I read a bit online and picked up Kernel for Oulook pst repair software. I ran this and saved the new pst file, which also did not help. I renamed the new pst file, which was Outlook(1).pst to just Outlook.pst and removed the original pst file. This also didn't help.

Any thoughts?
