I have windows 8.1 with my profile and no need for password. I have 2013 outlook. Was working great for 4 months. I think its because I eliminated my password from my profile (why I was suddenly required to put another password in on my profile I don't know. That's been corrected to log into windows 8.1)
Open Outlook: Loading profile: Blue screen addon's etc error; your outlook data cannot be configured email 1 .ost I press ok email 2 .ost error I press ok email 2b .ost error I press ok Add ins load Outlook opens email 3 opens ok shows emails but doesn't sync immediately asks for a user and password. (Never did that before) email 1,2,2b,2c,2d all show but when I click the link I get an error message; cannot be accessed you must connect to Microsoft exchange at least once before you can use your outlook data file .ost. I've been reading a lot about .ost and .pst. I am a home user and don't use exchange. I don't know how I could have even gotten .ost files on my computer. I looked at some quality videos explaining how to change files from hidden to unhidden to access. Again I don't use Microsoft exchange I am a home user and use this basically for fun to merge all of my emails into one location. The outlook 2013 has a very slick interface. I enjoy using it. Problem: How do I get outlook back to its original functionality. I don't care about keeping old email data. I tried uninstall and reinstall the whole office 2013 and it did activate. I went to another machine to install and outlook works great but obviously the serial will not activate. Help or ideas? Much appreciated in this jungle of office 2013. ![]() |
