Win 8.1 won't allow entry from drop down list in Outlook

I just upgraded to windows 8.1 from 8. When I try to forward an email in Outlook the drop down list of contacts appears when the first letter is typed but the Enter Key does not select the highlighted selection. It goes to a new line. It worked fine before the upgrade. I'm sure there is a simple solution but I haven't found it yet. Any help would be appreciated.
