Hi all,
I was checking outlook rules and it can display a message or start an application. In the morning I'm waiting for an important report, the thing is that I have a lot of emailboxes to monitor and would like to know when it comes in (it can be even after 12:00). The idea would be that it would open a word document with a text in it (Report Received) with big letter type. Is this possible to do it with a rule, or do I need VBA for this as I did not see the option open with application and specific document. thanks in advance. |

As you indicated, you can create a New Blank Rule to to react to messages received that contain keywords in the subject. Then, on the next page, check the Start Application parameter and point it at a Word Document -- probably better at a Text Document that you created in Notepad. Let the computer's association to these file types tell the computer what program to start. It works.

Hi,
Thanks for the tip :-) I will try it out. (will it also work on a different mailbox that is not the personal mailbox?) Greetings. |
