Even though the new account does it with the same email. You have created a new profile since the original could of been corrupted.
I would just skip to the number 2 that I posted. At the howtogeek site. Ignore number 3 since that is what you just did. After step 2 move to 4. |

When I follow first instruction to paste this %userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Protect into my browser I get this:

Don't type it into your browser. You should paste it into windows explorer. Alternatively you could just browse to that location through windows explorer.

You might need to make sure you have hidden files showing.

BTW- if this helps and adds any info. I receive mail from two accounts via outlook. One is my regular account which is an smtp. broadband.rogers.com This is the problem acct.
The other account is mail.trustlearningsolutions.com this comes in through outlook as well. does this help? It's the one through my ISP that is a problem. This happened two weeks ago as well. The ISP reset the password for me and all was fine for 2 weeks- now it's all starting up again. |

Can you browse to that location?
Hit Start > Computer > C: > Users > %yourprofile% > appdata > roaming > microsoftprotect |
