and thanks for the reply. The issue is really about not downloading duplicates which, if the alternative is not possible, then I guess I can achieve with rules. As for outlook replying from the correct account, no way! It's well known that this is affected by various factors but the result is that outlook must be checked every time for the account from which it chooses to reply!
