NWConsulting will become famous soon enough

Microsoft have officially announced that Mainstream Support for Office 2010 will end in October 2015, this means that there will be no new features etc added. After that date it will go into Extended Support phase, which means that MS will only provide security updates.

No date is yet set for when Extended Support will finish, however Office 2003 and 2007 received extended support at least until their tenth birthday, so it would be fair to assume support will be there until 2020.

You will be able to export all your information from Outlook if you don't like it, there is a comprehensive export function that will get your data saved in a number of different formats, which you should then be able to import in to your chosen alternative
