Not seeing inbox messages in Outlook

I am having a problem seeing messages from my server. I can see the messages in my web-mail server, using SquirrelMail, but not in Outlook. Oddly, if I delete the messages, they appear in my deleted messages folder, and if I send mail from SquirrelMail, the sent messages show up in my sent mail folder, but messages I receive and do not delete do not appear in my inbox.



I do not have any filters on, to filter content. I checked that since someone in another forum mentioned filters could be a problem, if activated accidently or unknowingly. If I search for the missing emails, they do not turn up in another folder.
