POP mail password popup after I deleted the POP accopunt

I deleted a pop account in Outlook 2010 and replaced it with an IMAP account. Everything works fine except I get a pop up every time asking for my user name and pass word on my old account. I know it is my old account as the server name is pop.xxxx.com When I click on file/account settings the pop account is not listed. I have disableled all add-ins in Outlook. I have searched but there seems to be no answers to this one. I am running windows 8.1

Hi,

Have you tried this:

Exit Outlook
Go into Control Panel...Credentials Manager
Find the Outlook POP account that's causing the problem in the listing
Delete it

If this doesn't work, you could always try creating a new Outlook profile as well.
