I have just reinstalled Outlook 2007. Does anyone know why it will not download mail and what can be be done to correct it?

If I create a new email account, the tests show as fine without errors. The test email is sent but it never reaches Outlook, it sits on the ISP's Mail Server.

I am not 100% sure, but this may be to do with installing Visual Studio and SQL Server 2005 on the same PC .....

What is more mysterious is that I had the same problem on Googlemail and it mysteriously cleared up for no apparent reason. But mail from my ISP, Tiscali cannot be retrieved.
