Tom, a stab in the dark.... have her try to open the Outlook data file.

I have office xp at home and 2010 at work, so I do not know exactly how yor would do that in 2000, but....

- try file/open the open Outlook Data File. The Outlook mail file (.pst) is located in a default folder somewhere on the hard drive, the location depends on the version. If not in the folder opened by default when doing the file/open, then do a file search for all files ".PST".

good luck
