Hi,

I've founght with this for a couple of days and can't fix it...

I'm using Outlook 2010 in Windows 7 (all 32 Bit) and connect my Hotmail account to it using the Outlook Hotmail connector. This obviously gives me access to all of my e-mails through Outlook, along with all of my Hotmail contacts and calendar. The contacts include those who are on my Live Messenger list. Given that I know all of these people, I then tend to have other details (phone numbers, address etc...) for these contacts.

Up until recently, all has been fine. The contacts sync across correctly between Outlook and Hotmail, I could edit a contact in either and it would sync across to the other and all was good.



Now, for some reason, this has stopped working for my Live Connector contacts. If I edit one of these in Outlook then when I sync, it creates a duplicate in Outlook. This duplicate does not sync to my online Hotmail accessed through a web browser as I still only have one contact there.

Both of the Outlook contacts appear to have some link to the contact in my online Hotmail, as if I make changes it will appear in both. If I delete one of the contacts in Outlook then it leaves the other one, but removes all of the new information that I've added, leaving only the basic information associated with the Live Messenger contact. If I delete the other one then it brings up a warning that the contact is a Live Messenger contacts & that deleting it will remove it from that list.

I've tried variously deleting all instances of contacts & re-adding them, but the same issue still keeps coming back once they're back on my Live Messenger list. I've been running my Hotmail account through Outlook for years (both before Outlook Hotmail Connector came into existence and ever since) and this is the first time this has become an issue.

Anybody got any ideas as to what will fix this?!?
