Default Merge Outlook Files

I used MS Outlook 2010 for email, calendar, notes, etc. on an older laptop. I purchased an ultrabook without a dvd drive and would have to buy an external drive to install outlook 2010. However, I noticed that ms was testing outlook 2013 so I just installed that. I was just going to use it as a traveling instance of outlook and still have everything downloaded and updated on 2010. Instead, the 2013 instance is what i use as my primary outlook software. Mainly due to my older laptop being extremely slow and problematic as of late. I would like to merge both outlooks into one onto my outlook 2013 consumer preview software. I would like to add my older email and older appointments from 2010 to 2013. What is the best way to do this? Also, should I wait until the full outlook 2013 is released before merging?

Thanks!

Don't know if this matters but my Outlook 2010 is on Windows 7 32-bit and Outlook 2012 is on Windows 7 64-bit.
