I am running Windows XP Pro and have recently upgraded to Office 2010 Pro +
When I receive emails with Word attachments, I cannot open them directly from Outlook. Instead I get the error message: "The operating system is not presently configured to run this application " However, I can open the files IF I copy them to the Desktop. This is rather frustrating and time consuming. I have ensured that the compatibilty box is unchecked for both WINWORD and WINICON. I've also tried Start> Run> winword /r Has anyone got any ideas and/or thoughts? Please.............! Rob |

Hello Marshal,
Thank you for the speedy reply - which works! Within many MS programs there seem to be too many "safeguards" that the average user is not aware of. I have learnt something new this morning (it is here in the UK). Best Wishes - and thank you again, Rob |
