Windows 7 64bit How to export mails and contact adresses from Outlook

I still don't understand, but maybe we are not talking about the same:
I have Outlook installed on my laptop,but it is filled up with virus or other shit, so I want to reinstall it. And before I do that, I want to save my mails, adresses etc. on another HD, so I can import them on the fresh and clean HD.
But I cannot understand why you say that I shall create pst files, as there are already pst files on my pc...?
