Hi. I'm new to Outlook and I can't seem to set up my email address with Outlook. That's what Outlook does, right? It allows you to receive and send emails through my regular, say, gmail address but through the Outlook program? How do I get started? I try setting it up like they say and enter my gmail account info but I can't send emails to myself; I tried sending emails to the same gmail address I used for Outlook as practice to see if I got them. I did not an error message came up.
I was also unsure of some the questions I was asked when setting up my Outlook account. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance. -Adam B |

1. In Outlook click Tools.
2. Click on Account Settings. 3. Add a new email account > click Next. 4. Choose E-mail Service. 5. Manual configure settings > Next. 6. Internet E-Mail. This is the part where you will need the mail server settings from G-Mail or ect. This can be found on their website. 7. Fill out the Internet E-Mail Settings > Next. 8. Test Account Settings. You will see each step of the process complete. If they are not all completed properly, please make the appropriate changes. Once it is completed, hit Close > Next > Finish. Hope this helps!
