Hope to explain my computer situation in a short version. Have a computer that was running XP 32 bit and using Outlook. Computer crashed and wouldn't even boot in safe mode. The glitch is some XP files are missing due to situation I won't try and explain. Had a friend install a new hard drive and load Windows 7 as my OS. I still have the older hard drive installed in computer. I can switch back and forth between the two hard drives. I have down loaded Outlook to Windows 7 hard drive. I want to somehow access my contacts on the old XP hard drive and have them transferred to my Windows 7 hard drive. I can't find any files in the old XP drive that says or relates to Outlook. I had Office on the old XP system but when I open that file in the XP drive I don't see anything that I can identify with Outlook. Am I wasting my time even trying to save those XP Outlook contacts?
Thanks, TNperry |

After much searching and clicking around I did find the Outlook file on my old XP hard drive. Can I somehow copy that file and load it to my Wins 7 hard drive where I have a newly loaded version of Outlook. As I said I am just trying to recover my contacts plus some personal info in the old Outlook file/folders.
