Password Error After Internet Disconnection
Please can anyone help me with this recurring problem -
I am using Windows 7 (64 bit) and Outlook 2007 fully updated. I only have one email account and other aspects of the internet work fine. Each time I have reconnected after losing my internet connection, Outlook tells me there is a network password error and asks me to re-type the password. When re-typed it is never accepted and the box is constantly appearing on the screen. Each time it happens I check all of the account settings are correct, which they always are. I have tried running diagnostics but no problems are found, I have tried running a repair but is says it cannot find my email address on the server, I restart Outlook and restart my computer to no avail. Then for no apparent reason it starts working fine again. This can take anything from 30 minutes to 24 hours. I usually try all of the above and then give up. When it does start working again, nothing at all has been changed, it just seems to right itself. I have searched the internet for a solution but it doesn't seem to be a common problem. It is fine at the moment until my internet goes down again which is daily at the moment so if anyone could tell me how I can prevent it from happening again, I would be very grateful. Thanks, Lynn |
