Default stepping through a conversation

I like the 2010 Conversation feature.

But, the only way I can see to read the contents of a conversation is to open each email, then close it, go back to the conversation, open another email, read it, close it, go back to the conversation, open another, and so on.

What I would really like to do is just step through the conversations. that is, I just want to open the first email, then go 'next' 'next' 'next' 'back' 'next' and so on. I don't want to have to go back to the conversation between every email message. And I am not sure what I want to do with the individual emails of a conversation until I have stepped through them all, so I would rather postpone my decision of what to do with each open email.

Is there a way I can do this?

Thanks,
Rob
