I have been working without Outlook for several months and now finally have a stable OS environment to re-install. And I've been accessing gmail both remotely and with downloads to my smart phone. But I've set the smart phone download protocol to leave the messages un-deleted.
When I began to download into Outlook, only those messages from March 2 through March 23rd were moved to local Outlook, and they were not deleted. My initial review of Gmail settings changes did not reveal any solutions. I need to get the older messages reset for successful download and have those downloaded to Outlook to delete, while not deleting when only viewed by my Smartphone (pantech Breakout). |

Based off the information you have provided, if the Gmail options where set to not leave a copy of all mail within the mailbox then changed to leave a copy then all mail up to that point will be on your phone.
Maybe try forwarding those messages to your mailbox. Best Regards, |
