I have been using Office 2003 for several years with an IMAP email account linked to my website. In Outlook I have always been able to drag and drop messages from the inbox to respective folders. I could also delete an email from the inbox and a line would appear through the email. I could delete multiple emails and when I was ready I would purge the deleted emails and they would vanish.
Now when I drag an email to a folder it reappears in the inbox. And when I delete emails it asks me every time I hit he delete key if I am sure. Even I say Yes, the email appears back in the inbox as a read and undeleted message. And when I create a new folder it vanishes when I close and re open Outlook. Any ideas on what is causing this? As far as I know I didn’t change any settings. and this is all within the last few weeks. I did try to restore from a back up file but all it did was create another Inbox & Identical Folder List for the account on the left side of the screen. I did set up a new phone to view the same inbox but I have done that the same way in the past as well. Thanks in advance for any help. Rob |

In addition to that issue I have also seen a difference in dragging and dropping attachments into emails. I used to be able to drag a variety of files (PDF, Excel, Word Docs, MP3s, etc) and they would appear under the subject line in the email I was composing.
For the last month or so instead of attaching the files it appears to try and open the file. If it is a word document it opens it in Word. If it is another document it gives me an error and asks to select an encoding method. Sometimes it works fine but sometimes it doesn't. I don't know if it is related but another example of it acting funny. Thanks again. Rob |
