Default 34 Rminders for reoccuring appointments

For each recurring appointment, I get three duplicate copies of the same reminder for an individual appointment.

To Accurately troubleshoot any issue, you will need to provide more information.

- Do you have any configured Delegates?
- Are you the owner of these appointments?
- Are these appointments sending to a distribution list?
- If so are you listed in the distribution list?

Hope these questions help you locate the issue.

- Do you have any configured Delegates? I'm not even sure what they are, I am guessing they are attendees, but I have never used them and have nothing unique about these appointments.
- Are you the owner of these appointments? I am a single user and the only one setting up appointments
- Are these appointments sending to a distribution list? No
- If so are you listed in the distribution list? N/A

Thanks for trying to help me out. This is a bit of annoyance having to delete two of the three reminders every time I get one of these.

Richard

Thank you for providing answers to my questions. Try using this command line switch to see if your reminders can begin to act in a more normal capacity.

Windows Vista/7:
  • Click Start.
  • Click All Programs.
  • Click Accessories.
  • Click Run.
  • Enter the following in the Run dialog box (with quotations):
    "c:\program files\microsoft office\office14\Outlook.exe" /Commandswitch

Note: For 32-bit versions of Outlook running on 64-bit Operating Systems, you will enter the following (with quotations):
    "c:\program files (x86)\microsoft office\office14\Outlook.exe" /Commandswitch
  • Click OK.
- /cleanreminders = Clears and regenerates schedule reminders.

Hope this helps.

I entered the appropriate text for running 32-bit Outlook running on 64-bit OS (Win 7), and I got the following message:

Based on your post, you stated you could not get the command switch to work. Here is Microsoft's page on how to use the command switch..

Hope this helps.
