Default Auto-forwarding without using Rules

Hello,

Is it possible to configure an email address (eg 1email1@abc.com) so that emails sent to it are automatically forwarded on to another email address (eg 2email2@abc.com), but without using rules?

We recently deleted the 2email2@abc.com email address and while emails sent to 1email1@abc.com are being received, the original sender is receiving a bounceback from 2email2@abc.com. We have logged in to the 1email1 mailbox and have confirmed there are no rules set up to forward the emails, so we're at a loss to explain how this forwarding is happening, and we need to stop it.

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated!

Regards,

Dan
