Default Why is Outlook 2010 not using default calendar?

Does anyone have any ideas as to why Outlook 2010 wouldn't use the calendar associated with the default e-mail account as the default? I have Outlook 2010 setup with a personal PST and an Exchange account. My personal PST (and associated POP mail account) has been set as the default account.

Unfortunately, the calendar associated with my Exchange account is being treated as the default calendar (e.g. this is where all appointments with incoming messages are set, this is what Google calendar sync uses for syncing).

How can I get the calendar associated with my personal PST (and POP account) to actually behave as the primary default?
