Default How to save a picture in One Word with text inserted?

Hello all,

I am using a both versions of MS One Word on a Windows 10 PC (both the 2016 version and the version that came with Windows 10).

Whenever I import a picture such as a jpg into One Word and then add texts or shapes such as arrows into the picture and then try to save the picture, all it saves is the original picture without the text or other inserts.

I've tried everything including "exporting". How can I save the jpg as I've modified it?

Thank you for the help.
