I'm attempting to transition from Evernote to OneNote for my active note taking (as opposed to archiving materials). I have a few ways I like getting notes into my account and historically forwarding emails into the note program has been a top way. I was pleased to see that OneNote allowed this with a rather simple process. From reading through the materials, it means setting up your email address(es) and then forwarding an email to
me@onenote.com.
I set up 2 email accounts. One is the email associated with my Microsoft account and it works great. The other is my work email and when I try to add it as an "alias" I get the error message "This email address is already taken. Please try another"
I tried setting it up a couple of times, so figured it's already set up. But while I can successfully forward emails from my primary MS account email, I get nothing when I send to the alias email account. That is, no note appears in OneNote, but I also don't get an error message that my email was rejected. Any thoughts on a resolution?
P.S. - When using Outlook I use the add-on to import emails to OneNote, but need a convenient way to do so from my mobile devices.
