Default Cut, copy and paste - why so different from Microsoft Word?

In OneNote 2013 I seem to be required to Copy, before I Cut, so that I can then Paste.

Why not have a shortcut for copy-and-cut, as in Word?

Indeed, why not replicate the Word shortcuts, since almost everyone who uses OneNote 2013 will be familiar with them?
