Default Microsoft office Professional Plus 2010

i installed this programme in 2012.
All the programmes work fine and i have shortcuts on my desktop.

Last week i received some excel files from a friend and i wanted to open them by just double clicking the file in windows explorer.
when i looked at the properties of the shortcut the start in dialogue box is blank.
I have searched all over my hard drive and cannot find the excel.exe file anywhere
Actually all my Office shortcuts have empty start in dialogue boxes.

I have tried showing hidden files in the control panel with no luck.

The programmes Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc all work fine i am just curious where the .exe files are located

Thanks

Dave
