In Office 2019 links to shortcuts to files (word, Excel, pfd, video) have been blocked from opening. The message is shown below.


Microsoft Powerpoint Security Notice

"Office has blocked access to the following embedded object."

The object is a Shortcut link to a file pasted in a ppt.

I have 20 years of my files with presentations with links established in this manner which I need to transfer and use. Reinstalling them is very very tedious and almost impossible.
Is there a way to change the MS Security settings to make such links work.
