Default where can I get the earliest version of office that will work on windows 7 -- need MS word .docx

Can anyone out there tell me what is the earliest version of office that I Can get? I need one that works with .docx formats and runs on windows 7. All I need is word. my word 2003 doesn't work with .docx formats and libreoffice doesn't preserve the bookmarks that are needed in the documents I work with. Hope that's enough information.
