Aside from interface changes, which will take some getting used to, Office Home & Student 2016 (includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote) or Office 365 Home & Business 2016 (includes Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and OneNote) would probably meet your needs. Unlike the other flavours of Office 365, these are a one-off purchase and don't require an internet connection.

Mind you, renting Office 365 Personal (includes Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher, Access, OneNote, OneDrive and Skype) would take 2-3 years before it costs as much as a one-time purchase of Office Home & Student 2016 or Office 365 Home & Business 2016, plus MS keeps updating it with functionality.
