Last time I used Word and Publisher they were able to access the file system.
After the Windows 10 Creator update I created a document in Word but could not save the file to my hard drive. When I attempted to browse to the hard drive to select a folder It never opened the file system. It just hung up. I was able to close Word. I tried again with the same results. If I go into file manager and double click on an existing Word document Word will open the document and I am able to save to the document. I can not save the document by a new name or to a new location Word will hang. This problem seems to be common to all the office programs, Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint. I have tried both the online and offline repair for Office, they did not fix the problem they only deactivated my copy of Office. I hope someone has a solution. Issue solved.
I uninstalled Office 2013 then re installed it. Had the same problem. Called MS support and they told to do a manual uninstall of Office, see how to link: https://support.office.com/en-us/art...ceVersion=2013 Then I reinstalled office and all is well. |
