I file and save 20 - 50 files a day and have built quite a complex hierarchy of folders. The Recent Places option usually underneath Downloads (itself underneath Desktop) provides a really quick shortcut for file access within the Navigation Pane .....but it plumb disappeared ...and from all MS Office applications....a week ago. Any idea how to re-activate that in the navigation pane?

Just to be sure, is this an Excel problem? Otherwise I will move it to a better suited forum so you can get a better chance of finding an answer

Hi, it's really a Microsoft Office problem. I feel the most pain in EXcel but I see the same phenomena across the other apps like Word and Powerpoint
