I recently purchased Office Home & Business 2016. I have Windows 7 Starter. l transferred all my files fro my XP machine using Office 2000. Now every Word and Excel created with 2016 gives the message "Windows Explorer Has Stopped Working". I don't even have to try to open the file. The message appears by just hovering the cursor over the file name.
I then get the message that it's trying to solve the problem, which it never does and then restarts explorer. I have seen this problem all over the web with several suggested solutions but none have worked for me. I'm convinced this is an Office 2016/Windows file creation problem since if I open the file from within Word or Excel the file opens just fine. Anyone have a solution? thanks |
