Hey everyone, this is my first time on the boards so I'm not sure if this has been discussed before (sorry if it has been). At my work we recently got Office 2013 but it was long ago enough that I wasn't there when we got it. For some reason, one of our computers had a trial of Office 365 on it which was being used by a coworker. Then the trial period ran out and the program was left on the computer. Apparently they tried uninstalling it before but with little luck. I went into the programs list and it is still there, except it doesn't say it's taking up any space on the computer. I tried Microsoft's Fix It application (I believe that's what it is called) and it went literally over night without doing anything, it didn't lock up or give any sort of message, it just went, so I closed it after it had been going for 10+ hours.

The reason I care about this is because they couldn't get Office 2013 to load on the computer and we believe it may be due to 365 somehow interfering with things.

The computer is running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit.

Any info on how to remove 365 is much appreciated.

Does it appear under Programs & Features > Microsoft Office in the Windows Control Panel? How was it removed (i.e. did the person doing the removing do so through the Windows Control Panel, or by some other means)?

Yeah, when I go into the Control Panel and under Programs it says Uninstall. I go there and a list comes up, and in it is the 365 trial but it doesn't say it is taking up any space on the HDD.

I know the Microsoft Fix It application was used to try and remove the program but I believe that may have been after initially trying to uninstall it through the Control Panel. As for any other methods, I think those were the only two used.

See: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2739501. This includes the FixIt I think you're referring to, plus the fall-back manual processes. Failing that, you could try a program like CCleaner or Revo Uninstaller.
