Hi
I have been using a laptop running Windows 7 Professional with Office 2007 (Home & Student), plus Windows Live Mail. I have just bought a new laptop (yippee!), with Windows 8.1. I have installed Office 2007, which is fine, and have tried setting up Outlook.com the same as Live Mail, but am struggling with it. Should I buy Office 2010 / 2013 Professional (including Outlook), which will hopefully give me a more familiar environment? I don't mind spending the £££ if it gets me to where I want to be, rather than wasting my time struggling with Outlook.com... Thanks in advance for your help! Mike |

If you're using Windows Live Mail, upgrading to Office 2013 won't make that any easier, since Windows Live Mail is not part of Office.

Thanks for replying, macropod
What I have been struggling with is setting up Outlook.com (included in Win 8.1) to work the in a similar manner to Live Mail. What I am hoping is that by installing MS Office (including Outlook), I can then use Outlook which will hopefully have a similar look to Live Mail, or the last time I used Outlook. Once again, thanks for taking your time to look! Mike |

But Outlook is nothing like Windows Live Mail (available as a download from http://download.cnet.com/Windows-Liv...7_4-98282.html) or Outlook.com. If you want to see how different they are, take a look at some of the web sites that show screen shots of any of these apps' interfaces.
