Default Hyperlink not working

After searching and trying everywhere on the internet i have reached this forum.hope i get a solution.
I have a MS Word 2010.
I created a word doc xyz.docx and save it folder ABC
I create another folder DEF under ABC and copy 10 word documents in it.
In the doc xyz i create relative hyperlinks to these 10 word documents.
These hyperlinks work fine but if i lock my laptop and unlock it (keeping the doc xyz open) the hyperlinks stop working.
If i close and reopen the xyz doc,the hyperlink work again.

I have tried everything from like below :
Method 1: Word 2010
  1. On the File menu, click Options.
  2. Click Advanced.
  3. Under General, click Web Options.
  4. Click the Files tab.
  5. Click to clear the Update links on save check box.
  6. Click OK two times.
And checked the hyperlink base but that did not help.

Any suggestions?
