I'm not sure this is the best place to post this. This happens occasionally: I'm filling out an internet support form. Suddenly I hit a key and the letters are overwritten as in "insert". I have a logitech keyboard, but I have not hit the insert key. This has also happened in Word although I opened Word this time and it was acting correctly.

On earlier versions of word (2003,XP) there is an area along the screen at the bottom with the letters OVR (with some others) this means over write could you have clicked that in error?

I do not see this in 2007.

Know that this little short cut has caused others problems in the past.

I understand and agree, but as I stated in my question, I opened Word and typed successfully without an issue.

Click the INS(insert) key on your keyboard again to solve this problem...
