You can certainly link a Word document to an Excel workbook, so that changes in the workbook are automatically reflected in the document. You can also link a Publisher file to an Excel workbook so, if you want your output in Publisher, you could bypass Word altogether. I doubt you could export a 'Style Free' Word document to Publisher. In any event:
• If you define your Word Styles appropriately, Publisher can use them; and • Although Word isn't a DTP application, it can produce high-quality output without the need to use apps like Publisher.
