Hi Paul,
The only component I installed from Works Suite 99 was Works 4.5a. It's now gone and I don't need it. Neither Repair nor System Restore corrected the problem. The last action taken was to uninstall Office 2003 and Works 4.5a using Revo, followed by a reinstall and update of Office. At this point there's (theoretically) not a trace of Works on the PC, yet something it did continues to mess up Office 2003. Must be something I haven't considered yet, but currently I'm stumped.
