Hello Everyone,
In our office we are running Windows Xp and office 2003 We have a premium account with Google documents and want to make use of it. What we are wanting is sort of a briefcase/cloud service where we are able to have automatic uploads/updates of the files/reports/documents we have that will upload to Google documents automatically from the folders and then download and sync with the drive again if any changes have been made (and vice versa) Below is what we need from it.. 1) We will want it to remain in Microsoft office format .doc so we only just need the uploading. (having it convert to the Google documents format destroys the formatting made in the document and we use a lot of tables) 2) We will want the sync to retain the folder structure that we have on our system so it won’t be impossible to find everything. Our folder structure goes like this. E Drive Company name Clients Client 1 Sub folder Client 2 Sub Folder Client 50 3) We will want an update of the file, if its from the e-drive or from Google documents to automatically sync up and replace that document with the updated one in the corresponding folder.Sub folder We don’t really want to be running our own server to do this stuff ourselves (Were we can access the documents from the e drive offsite) Is there any programmes that can do this right now? We aren’t just looking for free options; we would be willing to look at paid options as long as there is a cost benefit ratio to them. Any information would be grateful. |
