Hi Tony,
If the field is always populated, you can simply add the text after it. Otherwise, you need something like: {IF{MERGEFIELD StartDate1 \@ YYMMDD} <> "000000" "{MERGEFIELD StartDate1 \@ "DD MMMM YYYY"} Goodbye"}
