Your mailmerge isn't responsible for what you're seeing in the 'kate' document, since you have a page orientation change in that document that the mailmerge doesn't produce. It would seem you've copied the mailmerge output into another document.

You can delete the last page from that document by clicking on the section break that follows the data (i.e. immediately after 'biopsy'). That will change the orientation of the page on which the data appear, though.
